This small hole-in-the-wall, Gaulart et Maliclet Cafe, was my most favorite part of the whole trip. We ate a late lunch here and on the lunch menu your "value meal" came with sandwich, salad, and beverage - water, tea or house wine: red or white. America, I mean North Carolina should take this tradition on at all lunch counters, like their southern cousin, S. Carolina.
Not to mention, the interior was darling. No other word could describe it. A shotgun shape building - long and narrow - shared bar height tables, very simple. Maps, European posters and paper cardinals for decoration.
I LOVE this place - they have the yummiest chocolate croissants!
