A Guest Post from Susi at Arcadian Lighting

Hi, I'm Susi, a writer for the Arcadian Lighting blog. Are you in love with deep blue lighting? We are. Blue, especially cobalt and navy, is a great accent color that can work in many decors and styles. Paired with white for a crisp look or mixed with other strong colors, deep blue lighting is a gorgeous addition. Used as bedside lighting or in a chandelier, deep blue lighting fixtures create a beautiful design statement. Here are some lovely examples of deep blue lighting to inspire you. Enjoy!

Love the deep blue light on the bedside table in this modern bedroom. The deep blue is a nice contrast to the red table.

The dark blue porcelain table lamp looks great paired with a yellow duvet with a Chinoiserie-inspired bird print. The rich blue can stand up to the brighter shades in this bedroom.

Love the navy blue shade paired with rose gold on this table lamp by Nate Berkus. A nice twist on the classic color combination of navy and gold.

A navy lighting fixture, especially a navy chandelier is unexpected. The deep blue color makes a bold impact in the room and draws attention to the ceiling.

This dark blue clip light could work in a bedroom clipped to a headboard as a reading light. Or on a bookshelf in a home office. Great color.

This incredible cobalt chandelier dates to the Victorian era of the 1860s-70s. It would look amazing in a dining room or living room.

  1. A big thank you to Susi and Arcadian Lighting for their guest post, Blue is a great substitute for too much black. It's a "pop" of color without being too "pop"py. Enjoy!!
