Beautiful Genius.

Titling this blog post was simple because it describes both Lindsay Cowles, abstract artist, and The Shirt by Rochelle Behrens. The creations are sophisticated, smart and wildly popular.

A friend introduced Lindsay Cowles to me because of my involvement in contemporary interior design. Her works are perfect for bringing color, depth and vibrancy to a space. Lindsay's work is so involved, yet loose and natural. Her captivating pieces really do "make" a room.

And another friend introduced me to The Shirt by Rochelle Behrens. She works with Rochelle Behrens, getting the word out, empowering women and giving them the freedom to look good while feeling good. If Oprah deemed it her favorite thing, you know it has to be good. The Shirt is a great looking blouse that secretly prevents wardrobe malfunctions. And, I'm thrilled that I get to go buy one when The Shirt makes it sojourn to Raleigh, tomorrow night!

All of you in or near Richmond have the ultimate luxury - The Shirt has paired with Lindsay Cowles for an evening of art and exquisite design. So, if you're in Richmond or nearby, please go see!

A few of Lindsay's works and a few Shirts ( I believe you can shop for both online! )

W.C.

In other words, the loo, the john, the potty. But, the room that surrounds this fixture can be a truly beautiful little space. I have aspirations to rip out some tile, replace the plumbing fixtures, move a wall or two and make my bathroom into a palace. A porcelain palace, ha!

grasscloth on the walls give texture + color, I like wallpaper in the bathroom because your "furniture" in there is rather plain.

I pinned this on Pinterest and then drooled for 5 minutes afterward. Sometimes you never think about a simple detail like window pane molding for a glass shower door/enclosure. It's pretty much brilliant.

A powder room, yes. A room to bathe, dress, apply the Spackle that I call makeup. NO.

2-sided shower curtain, painted cabinets, nice clean tile. Well done.

the. tile. along with the ceiling treatment, lights, etc. etc.

Hungry Hippo

I'm guilty of saying yes to the door knockers selling magazines. In college, I bought two years of Gourmet, I ate spaghettios (still do sometimes). However, I still have every single issue of Gourmet because of the gorgeous food styling. The pictures, the colors, they are all so beautifully done. Romulo Yanes is a food photographer and he accomplishes what he sets out to do, make me ravenously hungry. The following pictures will link you to a few recipes. Your design note for the day is you can find color inspiration out of anything!

Is it blatantly obvious I've been on a diet for 7 hours?
